Pair of Chelsea porcelain hexagonal high-shouldered lidded vases, decorated in the 18th century "Chelsea Bird" pattern in the style of James Giles (1718–1780), each vase with gold anchor mark, the high shouldered vases decorated within gilt borders and depicting exotic birds, and foliage, and seperated by small shaped cartouches enclosing a single bird or insects, all on a mazagine blue scale ground, with domed hexagonal covers topped by gilt finials, Chelsea circa 1760, rim of one vase restored.
